Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Freelance Accreditation Assessors with expertise in evaluating organizations against international standards. This role involves conducting assessments, preparing reports, and contributing to the integrity of ISCB’s accreditation services.
Key Standards:
Applicants should have demonstrable experience in one or more of the following standards:
- ISO/IEC 17024: Certification of persons
- ISO/IEC 17021: Certification of management systems
- ISO/IEC 17020: Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection
- ISO/IEC 17025: Competence of testing and calibration laboratories
- ISO/IEC 17043: Proficiency testing
- ISO/IEC 17065: Certification of products, processes, and services
- ISO 17034: General requirements for the competence of reference material producers
- ISO 15189: Medical laboratories
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct remote or on-site assessments in accordance with ISCB’s accreditation procedures.
- Evaluate compliance with applicable international standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely assessment reports.
- Maintain impartiality and confidentiality throughout the assessment process.
- Liaise with clients to address observations or non-conformities during the accreditation process.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of ISCB’s assessment methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as an assessor/auditor in one or more of the listed standards.
- In-depth understanding of accreditation principles and international conformity assessment frameworks.
- Relevant qualifications in the standard(s) being assessed.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Availability for freelance assignments with flexible scheduling.
